It's Getting...
to be that time of year when it's too cold to fish so I'll be working on my Dad's Pre-War Lionel with my buddy Frank soon. We need to get a drum unit for the Post War engine, too, over at Nick Smith's mega train shop.

Post War Done!
Last Tuesday my buddy Frank and I finished restoring my Dad's post war Lionel trains! They look new and I'm looking forward to running them sometime!

Wash Ratios
Anyone out there who uses washes when painting, are there any set ratios you prefer or do you just mix up some thinner and paint and hope for the best?

Lionel Trains
My Dad has all of his Dad's Lionel trains from the prewar period and my buddy Frank who is a Lionel restoration expert is helping to get them back in shape. It was great to see one of the engines and trolley cars going around the track at full steam after a day of rework.

U.S.S. Arizona
I picked up a model of the U.S.S. Arizona the other week and have yet started working on it. It was about $20 which compared to the U.S.S. New Jersey's $46 price tag wasn't too bad. The only thing I could think of was the Revel model which I bought doesn't have the same level of detail as the Japanese made New Jersey. After I get moving on this model I may splurge and pick the other one up just to see the difference in quality, if any.
